226 New Membership Applications from 25 Provinces Approved
Afghanistan is a land of changes, especially regime changes, which in last half century has witnessed nearly ten different types of regimes from monarchy to republic and emirate. But in the meantime, the youth of Afghanistan have always tried to take advantage of the current situation and focus on the transition to mutual acceptance and enlightenment.
It is obvious that in the path of enlightenment and moving towards a better tomorrow, the youth of the country faced many political and social challenges and undoubtedly did not give up the struggle under any circumstances. A clear example of these commitments and motivations can be seen in the application of more than 300 youths from 25 provinces of the country which were interested in joining to “The White Assembly team” after the political, economic and social changes of 15th August, which from the total number of applicants 226 of them after the evaluation process selected as the member of The White Assembly in 25 provinces of the country.
The leadership team of The White Assembly welcome the new members of this think tank and centre of mutual acceptance for the youth and citizen of Afghanistan, and consider the presence of these new members to be effective in expanding and enhancing activities at the national level.
Mohammad Khalid Ramizy, senior fellow of The White Assembly, while welcoming the youths who joined to The White Assembly’s Enlightenment Caravan, said; “The White Assembly is a great platform of mutual acceptance & tolerance which serves youths with the vision of enlightenment and promotes cultural of volunteerism. The increase in membership applications to this organization after 15th August changes, shows the deep credibility and trust of youths in this organization which it will facilitate us to achieve our fundamental goals and will further expand the scope of our organization activities.”
Abdul Qahir Beheshti, member of The White Assembly’s board and head of research department of our partner organization (AELSO), pointed the process of joining new members to this think tank as valuable and important action and said: ” The 15th August developments and regime change, were the benchmark for citizen-cantered, value-oriented and project-oriented organizations that The White Assembly, despite many challenges after the recent changes, has continued its activities which led more youths to attract to take membership of this organization.”
The White Assembly as the movement and caravan of mutual acceptance & enlightenment is one of credible and youth-oriented organizations that works to respond to the serious and intellectual needs of the society which after 15th August changes, did not only stopped its activities but also expanded the services for country’s people.
