About Us

The White Assembly is an independent and non-governmental organization, operating in 19 provinces of Afghanistan. It was officially registered on January 5, 2015, by a group of civil and human rights activists, women’s rights advocates, young leaders, students, university professors, Afghan experts, and policy-makers and currently it is one of the leading youth organization of Afghanistan.

The mission of White Assembly is to promote, educate and equip the new generation of Afghanistan with the ideas of democracy, liberty, tolerance and to oppose radicalism among youths by promoting and educating the classical liberal ideas such as: limited government, rule of law, good governance, human rights, individual freedom, market economy, tolerance and the compatibility of these ideas with the holy religion of Islam; not only by the funded projects but also through different campaigns of the assembly’s volunteer members, which are more than 8,000 youths currently active in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan.

Our vision is contributing in creating a society based on free society values as well as teaching these values to every citizen of Afghanistan so that they are aware and gets benefit from these values.

Our Areas of Work

  1. Organizing conferences, workshops, trainings, round-tables and seminars to educate Afghan people about the ideas of democracy, liberty, tolerance and to oppose radicalism among youths by promotion and education of the classical liberal ideas.
  2. Working with Afghan youths for educating and promoting the values of volunteerism, and ways to bring peace, prosperity and liberty in Afghanistan.
  3. Organizing different academic programs and awareness campaigns in 19 provinces of Afghanistan for promotion and education peace, basic rights of the citizens, tolerance, prosperity and freedom.
  4. Conducting academic research and surveys in the fields of good governance, rule of law, and peace.
  5. Collecting and presenting of youth approaches and policy recommendations to the responsible departments of the government for promoting and having good governance.
  6. Publishing and distributing books, brochures, posters and stickers containing the ideas for a free society with its Islamic compatibility and legal bases in the country.
  7. Closely working with the major broadcasting channels and media outlets for promoting free society values among Afghan citizens.
